John 12:44 Jesus shouted to the crowds, “If you trust me, you are trusting not only me, but also God who sent me. 45 For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. 46 I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark.47 I will not judge those who hear me but don’t obey me, for I have come to save the world and not to judge it. 48 But all who reject me and my message will be judged on the day of judgment by the truth I have spoken. 49 I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it. 50 And I know his commands lead to eternal life; so I say whatever the Father tells me to say.”
If you want to get to know God then read and understand the words of Jesus as He says in the above scripture. Jesus is the light and that light is as powerful as the light that comes from God. Jesus met Saul on the road to Damascus, and the end result blinded Saul. His site came back when commissioned to take the gospel to the Gentiles. Jesus called a devout Jew who hated Him and His followers and converted Him to be a major advocate of Jesus and His message to all the world, to even Gentiles like you and me.
God takes what seems to be impossible and makes possibilities out of it. How can He do that? He Is God!! Even people who don't believe in what the Bible says or don't believe in Jesus, must realize there is a higher power. The kicker for us believers is, we can approach His throne boldly because of Jesus. The writer of Hebrews said it this way. Hebrews 4:14 So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
No man can approach the throne of God in His sin, because God will not look upon sin. We are sinners, but the blood of Jesus makes us pure and clean and thus we can approach the throne in the confidence of what Jesus has given us. Not about us. All about Jesus. To reference what Jesus said in the above verses. John 12:44 Jesus shouted to the crowds, “If you trust me, you are trusting not only me, but also God who sent me. Jesus is God and He is our only way to be made right with God the Father. Trust Him and Him alone for your salvation and your purpose and direction in life. Jesus is the light and He lights the "narrow" way to God in the most incredible way, but the people of the day missed Him. They did not realize that God was walking in their midst in Jesus. We also sometimes miss that God is walking in our midst in the Holy Spirit. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you. Ephesians 5:18 Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, 19 singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. 14 He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.’ Ask the Holy Spirit to empower you. Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Whatever you do "Be active in the Lord and He will use you in a mighty way!" He Is God!
