The Lion of Judah

Jesus is the Lion of Judah, and we realize more and more each day if we trust Him and see ourselves as He sees us, our perspective on life itself changes. Many times we are defeated because we get the feeling we are all alone and our enemy tries to attack us in those times because he sees us as vulnerable. We are not vulnerable if we realize we are not alone....ever. If you have ever seen videos of a pack of hyenas attacking a single lion. You see those Hyenas seem to win until another lion shows up and the odds change immediately. The Hyenas run off because they know the odds are against them. The Psalmist wrote this in Psalms 116:1-9 I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy Because he bends down to listen,  I will pray as long as I have breath! Death wrapped its ropes around me; the terrors of the grave overtook me. I saw only trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the Lord: “Please, Lord, save me!” How kind the Lord is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! The Lord protects those of childlike faith;  I was facing death, and he saved me. Let my soul be at rest again, for the Lord has been good to me. He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. And so I walk in the Lord’s presence as I live here on earth!

Points to remember from the above scriptures. 1. The struggles in life are life and death struggles. 2. God responds to those struggles. 3. God hears our cries when life seems overwhelming. 4. We may only see the odds are against us. 5. God responds to our cries. 6. The Lion of Judah, Jesus, enters the fight and the enemy has to flee! 7. We live in this victory from there on and we become a stronger lion because of the entrance of the Lion of Judah in our situation. I was given a wooden heart from David Strickland, my son's father-in-law and on this wooden heart was engraved the following words and scriptures.

YOU ARE Beautiful - Ecclesiastes 3:11 Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. Victorious - Romans 8:37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. Enough 2 Corinthians 12: Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. Created - Genesis 1: 31 Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! Strong - Philippians 4: 13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Amazing - Psalm 139: 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Capable - Mark 10: 27 Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.” Chosen - 1 Thessalonians 1:4 We know, dear brothers and sisters,[b] that God loves you and has chosen you to be his own people. Never Alone - Matthew 28: 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Always Loved - Romans 8: 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I believe the above verses are emblematic and descriptive of the Lion of Judah who changes everything when He joins the fight against the odds set by our enemy. And He wins and We win!! Live as a lion that is connected through the blood of Jesus to the Lion of Judah. Revelation 5:5 But one of the twenty-four elders said to me, “Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David’s throne, has won the victory. He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

I can do EVERYTHING. Everything means Everything. Live the life of The Lion!! Jesus did everything needed to make this life possible.

Vesselogical Out,

David Warren
