The Road to Victory - Faith or Fear

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or in dread of them, for the Lord your God is the One who is going with you. He will not desert you or abandon you.”

In the present condition of our lost world, we have a choice. Trust God or Fear our circumstances!! The choice should be easy for born-again believers who know the Lord and who are in His Word. WE TRUST GOD!! But, this trust is not only to deal with the craziness of our world. This trust is designed for us to use in every situation of our life. We should never let the circumstances that are going on around us cause our faith to dwindle or stop!! The Psalmist wrote in Psalms 34:4-5 4 I sought the Lord and He answered me and rescued me from all my fears. 5 They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces will never be ashamed.

You can always tell a believer who trusts God. They never get "shook!" When everyone around them is "freaking out", they know in their heart that "God has got this!" That kind of resolve is what I want, but I don't have very much. Christians quote the 23rd Psalms and then forget it when they are faced with a scarey situation. Psalms 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Realizing your faith in the midst of fearful things is very difficult and scarey, but don't fade when you need to have faith. HAVE FAITH!!

When you are fearful of man you can relate to the Psalmist who says in Psalms 56:4 In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? We are connected to God Almighty, King of Kings, Lord of Lord, and the great I Am! He is the all in all and He is on our side! Let Him fight your battles for you, and it will encourage your faith when you see how much God intervenes in situations in your life. Nothing is impossible with God!! God has revealed Himself as our protector and the one who holds our hand when we need it. Isaiah 41:13 For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’ The following remedy is given to us by Jesus as He spoke in John 14:27 Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.

So.....have faith! Real faith that doesn't waver in trusting God. Faith dispels or kicks out fear, so get to kicking!! Hebrews 11:1 says "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." and in verse 6 "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him." The rewards are out there ready to be found, but we must have faith.

Jesus said in Mark 9:23 "Jesus said to him, 'If you can believe? All things are possible for one who believes."

The Road to Victory is paved with faith!!

The Pilgrimage Continues...
