We hear so many opinions about everything, including life itself, religion, politics, family, sexuality, and many more. Be careful what you let influence you though, because the world's wisdom is empty and superficial. Paul wrote the following words to the church in Corinth in 1 Corinthians 1: 18 The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. 19 As the Scriptures say, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.” 20 So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. 21 Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe. 22 It is foolish to the Jews, who ask for signs from heaven. And it is foolish to the Greeks, who seek human wisdom. 23 So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense. 24 But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.
According to the Word of God the above scripture tells us that wisdom is found in eternal thinking. Paul said that the whole world will never know Him through human wisdom and the search by many for God through religion come up way short. Even the Jews missed what happened when God sent His Son Jesus to die on a cross for their sins. In fact, the jews were "offended" at the word Paul was preaching as He preached their is hope in Jesus alone. He goes on to say that the Gentiles thought it was all nonsense, but those who are the called know Jesus is the only way. Salvation is offered to all who will come and receive it but the many reasons given for not accepting Jesus by faith cannot be qualified by human reasoning. When a person reads the Word of God and sees that salvation is found in Jesus alone they have to come to a place of surrendering to the truth and faith it the only option given. Paul wrote these words in Ephesians 2: 8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
If you are looking for truth, then there it is. Only Jesus. Want a wisdom "fix?" Then let the wisdom from the Word of God "fix" your life, and all answers will be found in your new-found relationship with the God of the universe. This was all paid for on the cross by our wonderful Savior, Jesus. Accept Him today and true wisdom will begin a process in your life that will give you an abundant life filled with truth and blessings that only God can give. And He is in the giving business.
Vesselogical Out,
